ABOUT ME

Fizz Barnardo
Honestly, Fizz
Oh hi!

I’m Elizabeth – but most people call me Fizz. I'm 25, living in London, work in marketing and trying desperately to pretend I have my life together.

People might describe me as a pretty talkative person (a polite way of saying I don't shut up), but I'm also ridiculously open. I began writing back in 2018, as a form of therapy for myself but to also normalise discussions about mental health and navigating life. I don't claim to be an expert - I'm not a doctor or a therapist, but I'm a real person with real experiences that others may relate to. I want to post my experiences to encourage sharing, answer questions people are reluctant to ask and show that the world of mental health doesn't have to be a scary place.

I fell in love with writing when I realised I could use it to organise my thoughts and open up discussions about topics that can make us uncomfortable. I'm inspired by a number of amazing people in my life who I devote some of my pieces to, as well as issues young people are facing, from having your first period to experiencing depression.
I always love hearing what people think and exploring new topics, so feel free to drop me a message or subscribe to stay updated on all my new posts.
Hope you enjoy reading and I look forward to hearing from you.
Fizz
